FINANCIALS Our Fiscal Year is Jan. 1 through Dec. 31; since we formed the corporation on July 14, 2014, that first year was only for the time span of July 14, 2014 through Dec. 31, 2014. All subsequent years will be for the entire year. 2014 IRS 501(C)(3) Determination Letter - when a non-profit has a determination from the United States Internal Revenue Service, a donor can claim a deduction on a 1040 Tax Return, if he or she uses itemized deduction instead of standard deduction. 2014 IRS Tax Return 990 - this is the return non-profits file; the return is due May 15th for us (15th day of the 5th month after the end of the fiscal year - any for-profit or non-profit business can decide on its own fiscal year). 2014 Annual Report - this was July 14 through Dec. 31, since we just incorporated in July. Our accounts are not audited because, at this start of the non-profit, we simply don't have an income and expenses level to warrant paying an auditor to verify the books.
